recipe makes a wonderful summertime drink. Versatile fruit punch 2 cups sugar 2 three ounce packages of jello 2 quarts (8 cups) boiling water 1 large Ginger-ale or Sprite 1 46 ounce can pineapple juice 1 46 ounce can orange juice 1 46 ounce can pineappleorange juice Mix sugar and jello, add boiling water and dissolve, when cool, add fruit juices and put in freezer in containers to freeze to icy-mush. To each 2-3 quarts of above, add one quart of Ginger-ale or Sprite depending on taste. Makes about 2 1/2 gallons, enough to serve about 50-75 people. Jello for colors Strawberry - pink Cherry - red Lemon - yellow Orange - orange Lime - green Peach - gold Fruit punch Juice 9 oranges Juice 6 lemons 1 cup crushed pineapple 1 1/2 cups tea 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup water 1 quart Ginger-ale Maraschino cherries Make a syrup of sugar and water, add fruit juices, tea, crushed fruit and last the Ginger-ale. Makes about one gallon, depending on size of oranges and lemons.
