School a success! Rev. DeLong made the “mistake” of challenging the children to bring a guest to increase the enrollment to 150. If the goal was met, he would allow VBS Director Heidi Murphy to throw a pie in his face. As of Friday, the enrollment was 159 with an average of 131 per day. Needless to say, the children squealed with laughter as he was smeared with pie.
It was good to see Stanley and Juanita Settle back in church on Sunday. Stanley has been recuperating from surgery.
Happy birthday to a very sweet Bethany Lam, granddaughter of Iva and Thornton Lam, who was eight years old this past week. May each new birthday be better than the last.
