Monarchs
suffer loss
to Winchester

It was a miserable day for the Monarchs, Sunday, when they went to bat up against Winchester for a disappointing lost. Not only was the heat against Rappahannock, but the offense they needed was no where to be found.
Rapp found themselves trailing at the end of the third inning 6-2. Knowing what needed to be done offensively, Rapp scored three runs in the fourth, to move them within one.
Rapp allowed Winchester one run in the sixth and one run in the seventh, due to errors. Trying to make up for the two runs, Rapp just couldn’t get the runs needed to take the win.
Stoney Frye took the lost for the Monarchs with J. Diggs, leading the Monarchs offensively with three singles, followed by L. Alexander, one double, one single; R. Harris, two singles, W. Parker, two singles, and S. Frye, one home run.
Rappahannock hosts Edinburg Saturday night at Bing Crosby Stadium in Front Royal. Game time is 7 p.m. Rapp is a 6-3 for the season.
