Results from last fall’s study about nutrient loading, specifically how much phosphorous and nitrogen go into the river, provided most of the technical part of the slide show Mr. Wiggins presented.

A fast moving stream has naturally occuring areas of erosion and ripple pool complexes, which are considered special aquatic sites and where the biological activity occurs in a stream. This is where stream monitoring is done.
