What’s for dessert when it’s hot and sticky outside? On a hot summer day, nothing delights the taste buds of children and adults like a scoopful of ice cream. Some folks still use an ice cream freezer and whip-up delicious cool treats. That’s hot a custom at our house. I have always admired those with that' amount of energy and/or time but never been among the group.
However, there are many summertime desserts that are not only satisfying but very light and delicious. Many times seasonal fruits make excellent dessert choices and just what your family wants to top off that evening meal.
Many desserts look terrific and are easy to assembly. Try a bowl of fresh fruit with a little yogurt drizzled over the top or a dish of regular or light ice cream with fresh fruit.
