Monarchs win
over weekend

The Monarchs hosted Broadway on Saturday, and Luray on Sunday at Bing Crosby Stadium, and walked away with both wins.
Monarchs defeated Broadway with a score of 17-8, being led offensively by W. Parker, and L. Alexander picks up the save after a shaky start by J Diggs.
In the second game, Rappahannock won 13-9, with tandem hitting from W. Parker, R. Harris, L. Alexander, hitting doubles and a homer from S. Frye, with that formula, Rappahannock was victorious.
Rappahannock travels to Strasburg on Saturday, Aug. 16 for round three of the applye valley playoffs.
Game time is 2 p.m. at Sandy Hook Elementary School, and Edinburg on Sunday, Aug. 17 at Shenandoah County Park in Mauretown also at 2 p.m.
