Abernathy was second with 60, and Austin and Tyler Burdick tied for third with 58 books.
In the 1-Can-Read Group, Caroline Massie finished with 140, Kaiya Abernathy read 51 and J.R. Hawkins read 65. In the Advanced Readers, Carrie Yingling won the grand prize by reading 57 regular books, Kaiya Abernathy was first runner-up with 51 books, and Osha Kondori read 40.
In all, a total of 1,782 were read. Seventy-three children took part, and each was allowed to choose a free paperback book as a prize. The library thanks all who made this possible by their participation and support.
