On July 12, you (firefighters)
responded to a 911 call for a house fire at our residence at 123 Rock Mills Road, Woodville. Within a short time you arrived along with several other fire companies and quickly controlled the situation. For that we are deeply grateful.
What we didn’t expect was the thoughtful care you took to preserve our property. Late in the afternoon of the fire, we finally reentered the burnedout house and found furniture stacked in the center of rooms covered with tarps.
The family photographs that had been arranged on a wall had been removed and placed safely in a closed closet. Even our sons’ trophies had been removed from the fireplace mantel and packed safely in a footlocker under a tarp. While insurance will help us rebuild our house, you have helped us rebuild our home!
Each one of you was courteous, thoughtful and brave. We are fortunate to have such a high caliber of dedicated men and women protecting our lives and property. Thank-you.
