The United Methodist Churches will have worship services for Sunday, Aug. 17 as follows: Flint Hill at 8:45 a.m., Sperryville at 11:15 a.m., with communion and Willis Chapel at 10 a.m. The Rev. Merlin Shorb is pastor and invites the public.

First Place, a Christ centered health program addresses emotional, spiritual, physical and mental needs. Group meetings held once a week for 13 weeks include food planning behavior modification, bible study, prayer, class discussion and participation.
