Member Mary Priest received recognition and a gift for accumulating the most points for both artistic arrangements and horticulture exhibits during the year.
Florence Nordone conducted the inauguration ceremony for the new officers. ‘
Lucia Kilby was sworn in as president to lead the club into the new millennium with Mary Revercomb serving as vice-president and Joanne Tepper as secretary.
The new treasurer, Joan Herrema, was unable to attend the meeting.
Mrs. Kilby addressed the group briefly, speaking of her plans for the next two years. The theme for her administration will be “Remembering Our Heritage.”
Among community projects, the club will renew the hillside garden at the library and will have a flower show in the second year of her tenure.
