Sealed proposals shall be addressed to and deposited with Dr. David Gangel, Superintendent, at the Office of the Rappahannock County School Board, 6 Schoolhouse Road, Washington, Virginia 22747, until 2:00 p.m.. local prevailing time, July 20, 1999, for the following project;

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the School Board Office at the time stated above. Class A Virginia General Contractor certification shall be required.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or the bid bond of an approved Surety Company, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.
Drawings and Project Manuals for bidding purposes may be obtained by the contractors at the office of Hayes Large Architects, 321 North Front Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17101; Phone (717) 2384795; Fax (717) 238-4800; e-mail Harrisburg@HayesLarge.com; on or after June 2, 1999, upon deposit of $300 00 for one set of Drawings and Project Manuals, which amount (less $50.00 for expense of postage and handling if documents are mailed to bidder), will be refunded to the bidder only upon submission of a bona fide bid and the return of the Drawings and Project Manuals, including addenda, to the Architect in reusable condition within ten (10) days after the date of the opening of bids; otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited. A second set of Drawings and Project Manuals may be obtained upon an additional refundable deposit of an $300.00. Additional sets of Drawings and Project Manuals may be purchased.

Invitation for Bids:
Paving of Rappahannock County Skate Park
The Rappahannock County Recreational Facilities Authority (RCRFA) is soliciting bids on services to provide an asphaltic concrete surface to the Rappahannock County Park off U.S. Rt 522/211, Lee Highway, in Washington, Va.
A pre-bid meeting will be hold for any prospective bidders with questions or requests for additional information on Friday, July 23 at 9:00 AM at the Park facility. Attendance is not required in order to bid on the work herein described. No prequalification is required for this contract. The surface required is an average depth of not less than three (3) inches, surrounded by concrete curbing (allowing drainage through grade of pad to drainage points in curbing) projecting at least two inches above the finished surface.
All bids should be submitted in a letter clearly identifying the company providing the service, be signed by the principal of the brm, and shall note any exclusions or limitations. The basis for the bid shall also be stated; for this agreement, a final and complete finished price shall be stated. All bids must be received at the County Administrator’s Office, Old Ektension Office, 290 Gay Street, P.O.
