She was bom on March 31, 1915 in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late John Warren Smith and Lucy Ann Hitt Smith.
She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown. She was a cook at the District Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Pullen of Warrenton and Phyllis Woodward of Warrenton; three sisters, Virginia Fletcher of Warrenton, Ellen Welch of Flint Hill and Lena Levitov of Silver Spring, Md.; one brother, Frank M. Smith of Japan; two granddaughters of one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry Kemper Woodward; two brothers, Hugh W. Smith and Wilmer Smith and three sisters, Nettie Hitt, Myrtle Smith and Beulah Grigsby.
Funeral services will be private. Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton is in charge of the arrangements.
