Saturday, July 10: “Second Saturday Hike Series” to trails in Shenandoah National Park (SNP) adjacent to headwaters of Rappahannock River Watershed tributaries. Meet at Mountainside Market on US 211 west of Sperryville between 8-8:30 a.m. and carpool from there to trail head, returning mid-afternoon. Bring food for self and clothing according to weather of the day. Destination: Hazel River Trail / White Rocks Trail / Hazel Mt. Trail

Art workshop slated

On Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Laurie Marshall will hold a workshop to explore making art inspired by the story of Genesis. Charcoal, pastel and watercolor will be used. The cost is $65 for adults, $25 for students, including materials. Scholarships are available. Call 675-3267 for details and to register by July 16.

Soccer registration underway

Rappahannock Soccer League is currently accepting fall registrations, ages 6-16 at a cost of $35 and $30 for additional siblings. After Aug. 1, a $10 late registration fee will be added. So don’t wait, do it now! Thee will be on-site registration July 24 from 9 to 12 in front of Rappahannock County Elementary School.
