Auto accident
Virginia State Police reported one accident in the county last week, on July 3. Henry Holz, 88, of Alexandria was heading north on Route 628 near Route 622 when he lost control of his 1971 oldsmobile, ran off the road into a ditch and hit an embankment.
Unknown to Holz, the car had a flat right front tire. Damage to the car was estimated at $500, and no charges were filed.
