Treasurer Viguerie was not in attendance at the March meeting, and Councilman Tompkins noted that he wished that she were so that he could engage her in the discussion directly.
Mayor Stewart Willis suggested that Treasurer and Council member compensation be further discussed during the budget review to be conducted at the next Tbwn Council meeting on April 12.
Fourth of July fete
Fourth of July Committee Chair Charlie Tbmpkins reported again on progress in planning for the upcoming Fourth of July celebration. He noted that “plans are coming along” and mentioned some areas of progress including: vendors will be moved this year to green spaces off the street; the parade will include the Rappahannock High School band for the first time; and that craft and food vendors will be drawn primarily from the county.
