Play set for homeschoolers
There will be a children’s play production put on at Ki Theater on Sunday, April 2. Two roles are, as yet, unfilled. Any interested Rappahannock homeschooled students who would like to participate, please call Carol Lucking at 987-3352 or Rosalie Lysaght at 675-3150. Rehearsals are held at the Rappahannock Library Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Parenting skill class to begin
Rappahannock Family Guidance Services is offering a tenweek series focusing on Effective Parenting Skills for Parents of School Aged Children. Classes will be held every Tuesday beginning March 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Call the clinic at 675-3329 for additional information.
Representative to visit town
Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Thursday, March 23.
Mrs. Crowley will be available to talk with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a Federal nature, such as with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc.
Mrs. Crowley will be at the Rappahannock County Extension office from 2 to 3 p.m. Constituents who want to make direct contact with the Winchester office may call Mrs. Crowley at 6670990 or visit the office at 110 North Cameron Street.
Dance at Flint Hill
A dance will be held at the Flint Hill fire hall on April 1 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Music will be provided by Southern Persuasion. Cost is $20 for couples or $12 single. For more information call Connie Huff-Harris at 675-3389.
Portrait in exchange for pledge
The Sperryville Rescue Squad Auxiliary is having a special fund drive for the next several weeks in cooperation with Community Support Services. Families will be contacted by phone and asked to make a pledge. Each family that pledges receives a beautiful 10x13 canvas mount portrait, compliments of the auxiliary. CD release party, dinner set
Come join Debbie Zinn and Jake Butler’s new CD release party at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, April 1 from 7 until 10 p.m. Dinner will be served by the Salem Volunteer Fire Department.
