As for their plans for the new bar, Mr. Carlip intones “we felt that opening a pub that has a horse theme to it would make it also a focus for people who are interested in sitting in a comfortable place and relaxing and also would help people who are equine oriented to come and have a relaxed drink out on the patio, and watch their daughter or whoever else is getting lessons or riding.”

They envision the stables and tracks as an opportunity for folk to board their own horses and for the less experience to learn a bit. “We’re not going to try and compete with Marriott Ranch and Conyers, where we send people for trail rides, lets call it more of a lesson package” says Ms. Mariea. Mr. Carlip concluded “you have got to stay tuned, as our plans for the next few years unroll.”

If you have not been there lately, their location stands out even in our pastoral county as one of the most enchanting. On nice spring days like we will be having soon, you will be able to pop in for a drink in the pub, relax out on their patio, looking across their pond and vineyards, over horses training at the track, as the sun sets on Old Rag.

The beauty of this pastoral setting make an idyllic locale for the weddings that have always been an important part of the Bleu Rock. Now, with the Heritage House and the Bleu Rock working together, they see a kind of synergism developing between the two.
