Around 1915 a French chef is traveling in Russia searching for authentic local recipes and becomes embroiled in the Resolution. He encounters such dishes as bear liver and pheasant stuffed sausage.
He opens a restaurant, where we see wonderful scenes of baking cooking. Creations pour from the kitchen, cakes, fruit towers, sturgeon steamed with saffron, smoked tongue, and pheasant with pistachios.
The accompanying love story provides a pleasant diversion, as well.
This whole food thing was Naomi’s idea, and Herb promises next time that we will review only videos that are in English!
