The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department is holding a breakfast on Saturday, March 18 from 7 to 11:30 a.m. The menu consists of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fried apples, fried potatoes, sausage gravy, biscuits, pancakes, coffee and juice. Adults are $6 , children six12, $3 and children under six are free.
The menu sounds great and you can’t beat the price. So come on out and show your support for the fire department and have some great food.
Also, on March 18 and 19 Gray Ghost Vineyards is holding a spring barrel tasting. For a $10 admission you will receive a wine glass with the logo on it and appetizers, and all the wine you can taste. For more information call Amy Kellert at 937-4869.
Cathy Lou and Carrington Smith attended the 90th birthday of her aunt, Minnie (Keene) Hess in North Carolina on March 5 and then when they came home they were saddened by the funeral of her aunt, Gladys McGlothlin on March 7.
Cathy Lou reminds the McGlothlin friends and family of the reunion on June 17 in Washington at the Rappahannock Park. Watch for more details closer to the time. Any one wishing to subscribe to the McGlothlin family news letter may contact Madilee@aol. com.
