Josh Makela

Accomplishments: Josh, a fifth grade student at Rappahannock County Elementary School, is a typical 10 year old who loves soccer, animals and computers, not necessarily in that order. Among his favorite times are those spent with good friends.
He is a Webelos Scout in Pack 123, and received his Arrow of Light with the rest of his Den last month. He enjoys 4-H and recently went caving in a wild cave in West Virginia with other county 4Hers Jesse Palmer and Gunnar Propst. He also belongs to the 4-H Entomology and Electricity clubs.
Josh loves music and plays trumpet in the RCES fifth grade band. He is about to begin the spring season of soccer with the Rappahannock Soccer League, this is his fifth year. He especially enjoys playing defensive positions. Josh attends the Amissville United Methodist Church in Amissville and is a member of their Junior Youth Group. He is the son of Ron and Jan Makela of Amissville and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Graham Hackley of Amissville and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Makela of Grand Rapids, Mich.
