RAAC will present Jami Gillis playing piano and Wendy Gillis performing on saxaphone and piano in a modern jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. at The Theatre March 17. They are the daughters of David, and Gracie Gillis of nearby Scrabble.
Jami, 17, a senior at Rappahannock High School and editor-in-chief of the school paper, has been accepted at the University of Virginia for the fall semester. Her goal is to receive an MA in nursing followed by a career as a nurse practitioner.
This accomplished young lady will again perform the piano selection that won her first place in the recent Bland competition at The Theatre. Jami has broad interests ranging from science to travel and she confesses that she is an omnivorous reader.
