RAAC membership

meeting,picnic set

Members of The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will hold their annual membership meeting Sunday, Aug. 27 from 2 to 6 p.m. at a tent located next to the Gay Street Theatre. A picnic lunch and drinks will be provided and free drawings for movie series passes will be featured.

Prospective members may join at the picnic and Ellen Manson, current RAAC president, will introduce the new president and incoming board members. The rain location will be the Ki Theatre.

Democrats meet

Tuesday, Sept. 5

The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will hold ita regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library. The evening will focus again on the issues of this 2000 Campaign. Bumper stickers and yard signs for both Robb and Gore/Lieberman will be available.

The meetings of the ,__ Democratic Committee are held on the first Tuesday of every month and all are welcomed. ‘This is a great time for new and old Democrats to work together for Al Gore, Joe Lieberman and Chuck Robb,” said chair Meredith Gorfein. A time for refreshments and socializing follows every meeting.
