Even though, I've decided that writing about our European travels is much like trying to swallow the Atlantic, I will try to describe it and not drown anybody in the details.

After entering Switzerland we headed straight for the capitol city, Bern. Bern is located at the beginning of the Swiss Alps and is the true Alpine city. It has beautiful streets with fountains lined down the middle of them and a clock tower that strikes with perfection on every hour.

Bern was also the first place that I have ever seen glacier water. Describing it is somewhat awkward, it is like skim milk with a tint of green. It is very beautiful and pleasantly refreshing.

Bern is one of the most attractive cities that we visited on our vacation.

After a day or so of Bern we continued our journey south towards Interlaken. The scenery between the two cities is almost indescribable. In order to get between the two you have to take a small mountain pass. The first hour and a half of the pass was spent winding up, and up.

We passed dams, and lakes, trail, and even went up beyond the snow line. By the time we reached the summit, we had to pull over and look down into the valley. We saw beautiful towns on the side of the mountain and we traced the road as it wound back and forth through as it made its way through the dell. There were snowcapped mountains to the left and to the right. This was beautiful.

After a couple days of hiking, or camping for me at Gimmelwold; we felt the pull of the ski resorts. So after saying goodbye to Jungfrau, the Igor and the Monsch, we set off for
