But Mr. Hart would not live to see his work erected and blessed at St. Peter's on the Feast of the Assumption. Shortly after we met in summer of 1999, he would call upon me as his priest when he took ill. We didn't realize at the time that the sacraments he received Sunday at home in early August 1999 would be his last.

On Aug. 13, 1999, Frederick Hart died. His sudden death within the week stunned his family and friends.
