The opening of school carries with it as much potential as a freshly plowed garden in February. Looking toward the beginning of classes, it is an apt time to reflect upon the state of local public education. Rappahannock schools are on the move, but to fuel this takes considerable diligence and resources constantly applied.
Our challenge is to act on the principle that all Rappahannock students are capable and worthy of excellence. Since we help students become more than wage-earners, offering well rounded, high quality educational programs must remain central to our mission.
