A discussion of Sprint's proposal to build seven telecommunications towers in Rappahannock County will be featured at the annual meeting of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection on Friday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Rappahannock County High School.
Photographic displays and maps will be shown to explain the cell-phone towers' locations and impact, and a telecommunications engineering consultant will be on hand to answer questions. RLEP officers will explain the organization's stance on the issue and seek input from the community.
The annual membership meeting will also celebrate RLEP's 30 years of service to the county. A brief program on the history of the organization and its past efforts to protect the county's environment and scenic beauty will be presented, and refreshments will be served after the program. The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome.

• Monday, Nov. 6, Rappahannock Board of Supervisors will meet at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock Courthouse. New Business agenda items include: Architectural services - Aileen and Consultant re: Lighting Ordinance Changes.
Appointment will include Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, Roberta Anderson's term expires Dec. 31 (she is eligible for reappointment).
The 7 p.m. session will include: Six Year Road Plan and 2001-2001 Budget hearing; Consumer Utility Tax Ordinance Amendments and Zoning Chapter Amendments. • • Tuesday, Nov. 7, Election Day, polls open 6 a m. to 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 8, Washington Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Town Hall.
