several properties lately. Painters finished up putting a shiny new gloss of white with green trim on the Old Sperryville Bookshop last week. The book shop, which opened in October 1998, has just celebrated its second anniversary. Owners Jim and Joan Gannon are looking forward to a grand Centennial celebration in 2002, when the building which long housed the Episcopal Church of Sperryville will be 100 years old.
