County Guide to
Living
Hildy Teegen reported on progress in development of a County "Guide to Living" that is being prepared in cooperation with the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection. This guide, said Ms. Teegen, is a "set of resources for existing and new owners” that will aid them in the process of building in a manner compatible with the scenic and rural Rappahannock character. The guide will be published both conventionally and on the Internet, and will include such features as: "the pluses and minuses" of living in the County; essays and poems reflective of Rappahannock life; details of the County's comprehensive plan; guidelines for selecting a building location; guidelines for building: and a guide to resources available to assist owners in the process of creating compatible living spaces. Ms. Teegen noted that the RCCA has received valuable input from the community in the guide development process,
