• dress up (or not), and
• read a story or poem that they (or someone else) have written,
• tell about a favorite book,
• make up a song about a favorite book,
• act out a story (alone or with friends), or
• do whatever they would like that will illustrate their love of reading.

• Many thanks to RCES PTO Treasurer Susan McCarthy for so many things! Recently she has provided boxes and bags from her business Cordelia and Company in Washington to be used as Greve School Council Suggestion Boxes and PTO Label and IBox Top Collection Bags in each classroom. She also did all of the shopping for three sets of copy room supplies (one for each copier location throughout the school) which were purchased by PTO to assist our teachers.
• The Teacher Inservice Days on Oct. 26 and 27 were very productive for all staff. Teachers worked on a variety of topics from mastery and teacher-made tests to curriculum improvement. All staff are required to complete a series of Technology Standards by May of 2001, so tremendous effort was put into mastering these specific items on Friday.
