Did you know... For many people, hearing changes so gradually, we may not even notice it. In fact, it is often a spouse or another relative who is the first to notice that hearing loss is present. Here are some common indicators of hearing loss...
• You must often ask people to repeat. • Family members complain about the volume of the TV . • You have trouble following along at church or in social situations. • It seems as though the whole world is mumbling. You can hear but not understand.
If you suspect that you (or a family member) may have hearing loss, talk to your doctor about an exam and contact an audiologist for a thorough hearing evaluation. An evaluation will let you know if any hearing loss is present and if so, your doctor and audiologist can determine the best method of treatment.
