A dog loose in the country has a far greater chance of meeting its demise than in the city. Country roads are littered with road kill and, trust me, your dog isn't any smarter than the others rotting on the road shoulder. Hunters in the woods can sometimes have a hard time telling your pooch from a deer. And if your dog shows up on my farm again, it will be shot dead and the carcass brought to your doorstep with a bill for the damage it caused to my livestock.
If you value your pets at all, do them, and the rest of us, a favor arid keep them on your property.
