Receiving grants for projects at Rappahannock County High School:
Band teacher Lynne Fournier, who will use her grant for flag and drum line coaching sessions; guidance counselor Robin Campbell, whose grant will go toward the purchase of a computer for the guidance office; yearbook sponsor Laurel Van Horn, who will use her grant to purchase five program upgrades to aid in production of the yearbook; athletic director Jon Smythe, whose grant will be used to establish a Wall of Fame at the high school that will trace the history of student academic and athletic achievements; physical education teachers Donn Hackney and Jackie Settle, who will use their grant to create six inspirational banners for the gym; and school newspaper sponsor Laurie Marshall, who will use her grant to purchase lenses and lights for the newspaper camera.
Since 1997, Headwaters has awarded 61 project grants to county school teachers and staff, for a total of over $27,000. Applications for the spring 2001 grants will be available before the end of the year.
