On the Preservation Act, the Cellular Coalition’s letter notes the law requires the FCC to involve the Virginia State Historic Preservation Office, involve the public by peeking public input, and permit the participation of groups such as RCCA and RLEP in certain meetings. The ParkSprint meeting would be one such participation opportunity.
On the environmental issue, the Cellular Coalition's letter notes that Sprint, even in its sup? plemental filing on Sept. 28, 2000, failed to consider certain environmental factors. These include consideration of properties currently on, or eligible for inclusion on, the National and VirginiS Registers of Historic Places; and the location of towers along Virginia scenic byways. *
