Fauquier County children who hope to find the hottest new toy under the Christmas tree this year may be sorely disappointed.
Supplies of Sony's PlayStation2 game console already are in short supply with 32 shopping days until Christmas.
As a result, it’s predicted that the new, super-fast scooters are likely to be the most popular toy this Christmas.
The Razor Scooter, equipped with clear, blue, red, green or orange wheels and handle-bars, has been named the superstar of scooters by some toy industry evaluators.
Needless to say, there are many brands and types of scooters in the stores for Christmas shoppers.
Another likely favorite is Tekno the Robotic Puppy, followed by other electronic video games, action figures and the ubiquitous Barbie doll and all her new accessories.
