line ticket broker, and he will e-mail me if there is a sale or something. Hope we can wrap this up soon. I want to be able to enjoy this season, and so far, I’m a bit aggravated.
Nov. 25: Success! Got an e-mail today that we’re booked at our price. All I have to do is to arrange for a fourwheel drive and the trip’s planning will be complete. Now I can rest a little ... but I still haven’t gotten anything for my wife, and what the kids want is beyond me. I think I’ll concentrate on books for the older ones — and maybe a computer game or two.
As for my youngest, I’ll defer to her mom. She normally has her gifts wrapped before school starts.
Dec. 2: I found the ring I’m going to give my wife. We were in town for the Christmas parade, and I walked into a jeweler’s and looked at what they had. We liked a ring with some Cabachon rubies and one with an emerald and some small diamonds. The ruby one was 14-karat gold while the emerald was 18k. My 12 year old liked the emerald one, and so did I, but our youngest liked the ruby one better. So we did the only thing we could. We flipped a coin and the emerald won. Of course, she can always return it.
I’ve bought some books online for the kids and a couple of computer games are on the way. Now all I’ll have to do is to buy a few stocking stuffers, and I’m done! Some Belgian chocolates are always nice!
