wick, making sure to press it into the puddle of wax on the first candle. Repeat this process until the candle is as high as you want.
For easy, fun-shaped floating candles, wrap foil around the bottom and sides of a metal cookie cutter. Place on a cookie sheet and fill with wax. When cool (1 to 2 hours) remove from mold and trim with a sharp knife. Drill a hole and add the wick.
• Finally, if you’re really adventurous try this: Break a small hole (1/2 inch) into the top of a fresh egg. Empty the contents and wash out the inside of the shell. When dry, oil slightly and fill with wax. Use the egg carton to hold upright while the wax dries. Again, drill a hole and add the wick, but do it in the curved end of the egg candle, leaving the flat end as the base.
