Mattie Lee Woodard, 74, of Richmond, formerly of Washington, died Monday, Nov. 13 at Oasis Rest Home in Richmond.
She was born Jan 9, 1926 in Culpeper to the late Joseph T. Bailey and Eleanor Baldwin Bailey.
Mrs. Woodard was a member of Salem Baptist Church. " She is survived by two sons, William Franklin Woodard Jr. of Warrenton and Luther Woodard of Baltimore.
Additional survivors include three sisters, Lula Martin of Verona, Laurie Brown of Jeffersonton and Rosie Pullen of Washington and a brother, James R. Bailey of Staunton.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, William Franklin Woodard; two sons, George T. Woodard and James H. Woodard; a daughter, Mary Jasper and two brothers, Thomas Bailey and Jpseph Bailey. * Graveside services were conducted on Friday, Nov. 17 at Washington Masonic Cemetery with Thomas Grove officiating.
Found & Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
