At this time of the year after a hard frost, gardeners are usually dreaming of next year's plantings. Rappahannock County Garden Club members are no exception.
They received inspiration for such dreaming at their November meeting from Karen Rexrode of Aldie. Ms. Rexrode presented a slide show illustrating many different ways annuals, perennials and shrubs can be combined in the landscape to create pleasing effect. She was particularly sensitive to the needs we have in Rappahannock for plants to be heat-drought tolerant and distasteful to deer.
