City, where they’re going to have some of the skiing events in the 2002 Olympics. We can walk to the town lift and get up to the slopes, and at the end of the day we can ski to about 100 yards from the lodge, kick off our skis and walk right in — at least that’s what the lodge’s brochure claimed.
And one other surprise: my wife’s mother will be going with us. She’s promised to keep it a secret. She’s a great sport, and — while she doesn’t ski — she still will be able to enjoy the ambiance of a western ski town. And I’m going to see to it that she has lunch with us on the slopes at least one day. She can take the gondola up to the restaurant.
Now on to the other gifts.
