Cort and Beth Durocher have granted to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation a conservation easement protecting 46 acres on Route 522 at Huntly.
The parcel includes an historic home once part of “Gordon Manor,” and more recently known as “Briargate.”
The easement prohibits subdivision of the property, and includes a 200 foot setback from Route 522 (a designated Virginia Byway) for any new structure. This donation brings total easement protection in Rappahannock County to 12,057 acres.
