Sept. 22, 2001. This event brought out many who had contributed to this labor of love, both in terms of time and money, and guests heard a few of the cuts from the forthcoming album—Diane Bardwell sang “Swinging in the Nile”, Ben “Cooter” Jones sung, or rather performed, “I Don’t Know” (and he didn’t), and Paul introduced “We Lost the Fight Song”, its genesis, and John Bourgeois, who arranged and conducted thp Rappahannock High School Band as the backup to singer Craig Honeycutt of Everything on this soon-to-be classic. I
The Sept. 22 debut concert is destined to be a classif too. All of the 77 musician^ who recorded the 19 songs on the album will be there to perform and, hopefully, all of the 600 school kid songwriters will be there as well (with their parents, siblings, uncle& and aunts, and grandparents). J
