In between the quarterly general meetings, various groups within the RFA meet on their own to discuss issues of interest to them. Some of these interest groups include cattle, organic farming, winemaking and grape growing, small ruminants, and cheesemaking.
Our summer meeting is this coming Sunday, July 29 at Alex Sharp’s farm “Mountain Green.” Alex will give a brief talk about his farm and apple growing in Rappahannock. We’ll also discuss the new RFA web site (www.rappfarmer. org), the Rappahannock Tourist and Farm map, the fall meeting at Sunnyside Farms, and the newly formed RFA Equine interest group.
