Margot Bergman’s oil painting, “Young Man Selling Fruits and Vegetables.” Perhaps it is his handsome, dark, regular features and curly brown hair that arouses feelings of a Mediterranean place or a Middle Eastern market. The life-sized head of the young man. against a background of produce of many colors, is arresting and challenging.

There is much good humor in this exhibition. The witti est of the pictures is a cartoon by James S. Samillio “Elm Farm Ollie Day”, a water color and drawing featuring a flying cow wearing a pilots helmet and looking like a dragon fly. On the ground are some of the good things that come from cow’s milk, Swiss and other cheese, and iced creams. This picture has the characteristics of a child's delighted imagination.
