celebration set
The eleventh annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday celebration will be held on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. at The Theatre in Washington.
A concert by the Men's Ensemble from Shady Grove Baptist Church in Orange will be rendered under the direction of Rev. Joseph Moore. The theme will be "Let Freedom Ring, a Cause Worth Dying For."
A free will offering will be taken for the scholarship fund on behalf of a Rappahannock County High School graduate. Refreshments will [ be served following the concert.

» ! ; On Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at the t Rappahannock County Library, Headwaters Public Education Foundation and the Rappahannock County School system are teaming up to present a public forum centering on the International Baccalaureate (IB) program of study.
The format for the evening will be a presentation by Mr. Bob Snee, Principal of George Mason High School in Falls Church, followed by a panel of educators from Rappahannock County Schools. The panel will consist of Mr. Joe PerMs.
