The Rappahannock County Library was able to acquire these premium databases by participating in a program with the Library of Virginia. The program, “Infopowering the Commonwealth”, purchased databases for the entire state. Public libraries simply need computers and Internet connectivity to participate (Thanks again to our Friends of the Library for providing our computers). By purchasing the databases statewide, Infopowering the Commonwealth gets volume pricing, allowing even the smallest, most remote libraries to get cutting-edge reference and research materials.
