One student, Sean. Robertson who’s project is “A Tale of Two Cells” was our winner in the Senior High, School Division last year. Robertson went on to win second in the Regional Fair and attended the state Science Fair Competition.
On Wednesday, Jan. 23 students will set up their displays in the Rappahannock County Elementary School Multipurpose Room. Local winners will receive plaques,’ ribbons and invitations to thtf Piedmont Regional Science Fair to be held in Charlottesville on March 14.
Senior Division winners at Charlottesville continue to the’ State Science Fair and possri bly even to the International Science Fair.
Across the country, science fairs afford opportunities for students to do investigative1 work in the sciences and show off their achievements. Students plan and carry out an experiment, collect data and interpret results.
The fair is an accumula-' tion of student’s investigations and showcase their projects for the judges and the general public. Awards will be presented to winning students on Friday afternoon.
