• April 5: Chunhyang (Unrated, 122 minutes) This Korean film opens with Cho Sang Hyun sitting onstage before a contemporary audience and singing of an eighteenth-century Korean Romeo and Juliet. Then the tale begins as fifteen-year-old Mongryong falls in love with, pursues and marries Chunhyang, the beautiful daughter of a courtesan.
Directed by Kwon Taek, who has made more than ninety films. In Korean; stunning cinematography.
