Health programs offered

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center:

On Jan. 28 at 9:30 a.m. program on Heart Attack Risk by Cheryll Green of the Health Department, 12-hour fasting suggested and

On Jan. 29 at 11:30 a.m. blood pressure screening and health talk by Melinda Beach. Public Health Nurse.

Yoga with Li to

Do you want to be more flexible and feel better physically as well as mentally? If so, join “Yoga with Lilo.” Ongoing classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church parish hall in Washington on Mondays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. For more information call Lilo at 675-3584

Casino Night 2002 planned

Plans are currently underway for another elegant and fun filled evening at the Second Annual Casino Night sponsored by the Rappahannock County School Sports Association. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Washington School.

The evening will begin with a cocktail/social hour at 7 p.m. and gaming tables will be open from 8 to 11 p.m. The entry fee of $25 will include soft drinks, hors d’oeuvres, $10,000 in gaming money to play with and five grand prize tickets for the drawing at the end of the evening. Aerobic classes planned

Ongoing aerobic classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8 to 9:30 a.m. For additional information call Beth Levick at 635-6149.

The Coffee Shop at Culpeper Regional Hospital is desperately seeking volunteers' Meet the public and provide a valuable service in a friendly, casual environment. The Coffee Shop is open weekdays only, and volunteers donate a minimum of two hours once a week.
