Huey Long Atkins, 66, of Sperryville died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Fauquier Hospital in . Warrenton. , He was born on Sept. 12, 1935 in Sperryville to the late Ebb and Bertie Atkins.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years. Fay Atkins; three sons, Michael Atkins and his wife, Jennifer and Jeffrey Atkins and his wife, Jill, all of Sperryville and William Atkins and his wife, Missy of Lurav and one daughter, Julie Atkins of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Jordan Atkins and Ryan Atkins, both of Sperryville; three brothers, Ebb Atkins Jr. of Manassas, George Atkins and Mahlon Atkins, both of Sperryville; five sisters, Juanita Atkins, Elsie Atkins and Jane Baker, all of Sperryville, Annie Huff of Flint Hill and Ruth Atkins of Washington and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, ,he was predeceased by a sister, Minnie Pullen.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville ,with Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating. Burial was in the Sperryville Cemetery.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Cleo Louis

Mrs. Cleo F. Louis, 90, of Sperryville died Jan 8 at the Loving Arms Nursing Home in Front Royal.
Mrs. Louis was a teacher for 40 years in Alexandria.
For most of that time she was a part-time resident of Sperryville and had lived here permanently since her retirement in 1976.
Mrs. Louis is survived by her daughter, Joy L. Sloane of Sperryville and two granddaughters, Amy Sloane Timbers of Woodville and Karen Kay Sloane of Louisville, Ky.
Donations may be made to the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection Nature Camp in memory of Mrs Louis.
