Basketball » J It was the end of exam .week here at RCHS and the ^basketball team was a little flat. They hosted the Tigers Trom Brentsville District ;High School on Friday, Jan. •11 and came away with less ,’then a sterling report card. The Tigers shot out to a 10 -5 first quarter lead and continued to widen the gap in the 'second period. • The Panther Varsity came .out of the half-time intermission ready to go, but they ►would be just out-played on .’this particular night. Despite |a little flurry of scoring by the ►Rapp side in the fourth quarter, the Panthers were never •really in this one. The game ►ended with the Tigers victorious by the final score of 56 to *32. * Senior Jeff Ritenour and ‘junior Gregg Jackson each 'had seven points to lead IPanther scorers. ‘ The JV Panthers played •first and had better results. !Led by sophomore David ;Letsens’ 27 points, the JV •Panthers were not to be 1 denied in their quest to pro'tect their home court and to ► maintain a share of first ‘place honors among the districts JV squads. The young •fguys grabbed an early seven' point lead to end the first | quarter and never relinquished
